Episode cast overview:

Ross is upset that he misses so many of Ben's first things. Phoebe finds out that her mum never showed her the ends of sad movies to shield her from the pain. Joey and Chandler take Richard to a game because it means a lot to Monica. They really like him so Chandler gets a mustache and Joey starts smoking cigars. Ben spends a whole weekend with Ross. Rachel isn't very good with babies and freaks out when she hears that Ross pictures their future with 2 children living in the suburbs. Richard spends more time with the guys than with Monica. But Joey and Chandler really hurt Richard when they tell him he is like a cool dad. Rachel is the only one who hears Ben speak his first word. Written by Anonymous

When Richard is playing foosball with Chandler and Joey, right before Monica comes over to tell him dinner is ready, the camera, while on Richard, pans too far to the right past the edge of the fake apartment "wall" and the hallway set behind them is visible. See more »

Phoebe Buffay: Hey. Whatcha guys doin'?
Dr. Richard Burke: Monica's making us watch Old Yeller.

Dr. Ross Geller: What're you talking about?
Phoebe Buffay: C'mon, happy family gets a dog, frontier fun.
Dr. Ross Geller: Yeah, but Pheebs, what about the end?
Phoebe Buffay: What when Yeller saves the family from the wolf and everyone's happy?
Rachel Green: That's not the end.
Phoebe Buffay: Yu-huh. That's when my mother would shut off the TV and say 'The end'.

Once Again Matthew Perry And Matt Le Blanc Knock It Out Of The Park
12 December 2014 | by (United Kingdom) – See all my reviews

Plot In A Paragraph: Phoebe's view on the world is shattered when she learns how Old Yeller really ends. It only gets worse when she rents Pride Of The Yankies, Rocky and ET. Monica becomes concerned when Richard starts hanging out with Chandler and Joey, and they are so impressed with him they start modelling themselves on him. Rachel panics when she learns Ross's plans for their future.

Once again Matthew Perry and Matt Le Blanc knock it out of the park, this time with the help of the brilliant Tom Selleck. Their scenes are a highlight of the full season. The Phoebe storyline is fun, unlike the Ross and Rachel storyline. In an annoying inconsistency, in the episode titled 'The List' Ross lists what he loves about Rachel and he list "How great you are with Ben". This episode reveals she has never even held him before.
