Halloween is coming: Lindsay wants to hang out with her new friends, her mom wants her to help pass out treats to kids. Sam at first thinks he's too old to go trick or treating, then convinces Neal and Bill to dress up and go with him. Halloween itself is a nightmare: Lindsay's going out dampens Jean's spirit, kids and their parents reject her homemade cookies, the geeks draw stares for being too old and then are humiliated by bullies and worse, and Lindsay gets in the spirit of destructive tricks only to find herself guilty of going way too far. Is there any redemption? Written by
Mrs. Weir hands Mr. Weir a vampire cape, telling him to "put this on". There's a little pause put in for SCTV Network (1981) fans to remember that Joe Flaherty - who plays Mr. Weir - was an original member of the "SCTV" troupe, and one of its most popular characters was Flaherty's "Count Floyd" from "Monster Chiller Horror Theater". Millie calls the candy she is eating at the bus stop Lik-M-Aid even though it says Fun Dip on the package. Lik-M-Aid was the original name but it was changed to Fun Dip in 1989. The name Lik-M-Aid is on the current Fun Dip package but in smaller letters above the its current name of Fun Dip. See more »
Millie, you're eating candy already? It's only 7:30 in the morning!
It's just Lik'm'aid. It makes my spit taste like fruit juice!

A utterly cute and touching fine little Halloween episode.
Bill once again steals the show by wearing the Bionic Woman outfit. He had so many perfect lines that I don't know where to begin. The entire sequence of him mimicking the Bionic Woman in front of the mirror was hysterical.
For most people however, it was one sucky Halloween. Sam got some nice character development in here, he grew up a little, gave up his Star Wars addiction and started to read a grown-up book. It was very sad to see him so broken up after realizing that it was his sister who threw the eggs.
Lindsay also learned a lesson, I love Mrs. Weir because she's so innocent without being ignorant. I'm glad that Lindsay dressed up as a prince to hand out candy.
All in all, a touching, funny and another great episode from this short-lived little show.
