- Frasier feels that he stands alone in upholding common courtesy, and eventually loses his patience in a crowded Café Nervosa, forcibly ejecting a man who claimed a table just before him.
- The world around Frasier seems to be losing its manners. People are using his parking space, queue-jumping in shops, talking during films at the cinema, smoking in elevators; shop assistants are ignoring him or being rude; even his own neighbors make unnecessary noise. He feels that he stands alone in upholding common courtesy, and eventually loses his patience in a crowded Café Nervosa, forcibly ejecting a man who claimed a table just before him. He is not proud of his behavior afterwards, but Martin is, having read the story in the People of Seattle column. Suddenly, everyone around is hailing Frasier as a hero, and Niles is jealous. However, his actions must have repercussions: firstly, a wave of phone calls to KACL report how people have started emulating him; secondly, the man he targeted threatens to sue. Luckily, Niles helps out with the latter by provoking the man to ensure a counter-suit, which works.
- An overly stressed Frasier loses his cool with a rude Café Nervosa patron (guest star John Cygan), and he resorts to physical force to teach the man a lesson in etiquette. While he immediately regrets his transgression, Frasier finds his aggressiveness has won him the support of all of Seattle, despite his own belief that there is no excuse for violence.
- After a day and a half of experiencing other people's rude and inconsiderate behavior, Frasier reaches saturation point when a man casually steals his and Niles's table at Cafe Nervosa. Frasier ejects the man from the café. Next day, he is hailed as a hero in the paper, but is horrified when his act sparks off a series of "etiquette lessons" by people all over Seattle.—crouchbk
- Frasier's mood has been souring as it seems good etiquette and manners seems to be taking a backseat regarding every single thing he tries to do. This ranges from someone taking his private parking space making him late for work, as well as their upstairs penthouse neighbor who keeps playing his music constantly loud.
The final straw for Frasier comes when a man quickly takes a table that Frasier and Niles were waiting for in Cafe Nervosa. When Frasier's lecture about rudeness does not faze the man, Frasier hoists him out the nearby door, declaring that the man needs an etiquette lesson!
Frasier soon becomes the talk of Seattle for what he did, but he tries to calmly keep from being hailed as some sort of hero. However, he is shocked when the majority of his callers tell how he inspired them to take extreme measures to deal with people who have been causing them problems. Feeling this has gone too far, Frasier informs his callers that he is going to contact the man he accosted at Cafe Nervosa, and apologize.
Frasier and Niles soon after meet the man, and Frasier apologizes for his actions...only to have the man provide papers saying he is going to sue Frasier for assault. Frasier is unsure what to do when Niles begins to taunt the man. The man then gives Niles a small touch with his finger, sending Niles flying across some tables. As Frasier goes to his brother, Niles whispers that it was a ruse to counter-sue the man...and Frasier reluctantly goes along with the ruse.
