Storyline

With Frasier home all day, he and Martin get into explosive arguments. Roz suggests that Martin move in with Niles for a while. Niles is as enthused at the idea as Frasier was six years before, but changes his mind rapidly when he realizes Daphne will be coming too. Then she announces that Martin's hip has improved enough for her to find another job. After a series of minor accidents, Martin becomes afraid that Niles is trying to injure him on purpose. Trivia

The title is a reference to an Alfred Hitchcock film Dial M for Murder (1954). See more »

Goofs

The characters refer to Martin's fear that Niles wishes to hurt him as being an expression of the unconscious. While this may be understandable for him to use this term, as a lay person, it is not so when Fraser uses it at the end of the episode, in the hallway, when trying to explain his rude behavior toward Martin to his love interest who has appeared as the elevator door opens.

The correct term would be the subconscious, not the unconscious. See more »

Roz: Yeah, Niles, we just eloped. I'm your new mom.
