A strange but charming episode...just don't do what the folks in this one did!

I don't believe in ESP and the like, so normally shows about such things I totally avoid. Still, I love reruns of "Four Star Playhouse" (available free from archive.org) and I stuck with this odd story...and am glad I did.

When the story begins, Andrew (Dick Powell) meets a famous parapsychologist on a train and tells him he believes in the supernatural and fate. He then tells him a story about his life. It seems he met a pretty young lady by chance and painted her. It was over and done with very quickly. Oddly, however, Andrew couldn't get her out of his mind...but he didn't know her name nor how to get in touch with her. What's next? Well, let's just say it's a sweet little romantic tale about a bizarre twist on the notion of love at first sight.

Despite my feelings about the subject as well as love at first sight, I found myself charmed by this one due to some excellent acting and writing. Well worth seeing...and downloading.
