Puerto Rico is experiencing one of its rare hot spells. The heat really kicks up when big time gangster Rufus Morgan (Bruce Gordon) and his men arrive by yacht. Carlos, who has provided the convent with air conditioners, is fearful as they approach in hopes of his Casino Carlos. Carlos asks Sister Bertrille to repay the favor by having the convent temporarily take over the casino. Morgan's men are unable to convince the sisters to sell, so he himself pays them a visit. Sister Bertrille refuses to raise the house limit for Morgan so he insists she plays in the game. The stakes grow high when Morgan catches on to the scheme.
