How many times has a scientist studying dolphins shown up in the park and requested permission (or not requested permission) to use Flipper in their research? I think this story line is getting a little old, but I suppose this time it's a little different. At least the doctor approaches Bud, is very nice, and wouldn't take Flipper without Bud's permission...
Sandy is graduating high school and since his father lives on a ranger's salary Sandy must get high on his entrance exam so he can qualify for a scholarship. That's when Bud and the doctor strike up a deal.
Now, I know that Bud has stated in other episodes that he'd rather lose Flipper than his father or brother, but I have a hard time believing Bud would give up his pet without a fight and it seems that's just what he's doing.
Though the story was interesting enough, it just getting old!
