Denise Nickerson before "Dark Shadows" set in...
26 September 2007 | by (Los Angeles) – See all my reviews

Little Tina (Denise Nickerson) pretends to be sleeping in the back seat of her car, while her parents argue. Due, possibly, to their bickering, she sneaks out of their car and stows away aboard the Ricks' camper. After Ricks (Brian Kelly) and Sandy (Luke Halpin) leave the scene, young Nickerson emerges to meet Bud (Tommy Norden) - and Flipper. Nickerson tells Bud she has no parents, and wants him to help her hide out from an abusive farmer, who had her locked up. Bud agrees, and the two go treasure hunting; instead, they become marooned…

Denise Nickerson is adorable as Bud's little leading lady, Tina - later, she will impress as Amy on "Dark Shadows", and Violet in "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory". Norden and Nickerson look, and act, very naturally together. Julie Sommars and Frank Logan appear briefly as Tina's parents. Sandy sings a little bit of "Once an elephant went to sea, tra la la…" from the previous episode, but the script mistakenly says it's from another event.

**** Bud Meets Baby (3/20/65) Ricou Browning ~ Tommy Norden, Denise Nickerson, Luke Halpin
