To the priests' horror the boring, monosyllabic Father Stone comes to stay and innocently defies all attempts to get rid of him. In desperation Ted and Dougal head for the golf course during a thunder storm but are followed by Father Stone, who gets struck by lightning. Recovering in hospital Stone seems to have changed, becoming chatty and animated and hailing Ted as the hero who saved him. A guilty Ted declares that Stone can continue to stay, which he does - whilst reverting back to his original boring self. Written by
