The 4th season trilogy "We're so Screwed" is known by the individual episode titles: "Fetal Attraction"; "Hot to Katratzi" and "La Bomba" in the UK. The UK didn't approve of the trilogy title. See more »
Having prevented the escape Scorpius explains his actions... he believes that they have an opportunity to deal with the Scarrans in a way that would take them hundreds of years to recover... he wants Moya's crew to help him destroy the Crystherium flower growing deep within Katratzi. This flower is the Scarran's most protected secret... without the flowers the Scarrans would return to a state of intelligence lower than a dog! Of course anything that important will be heavily protected... but then what's the point of making a nuclear bomb if you aren't going to use it!? Meanwhile Grayza has realised that her plans for a peace treaty have failed so prepares to attack the Scarrans despite objections from Braca.
This, the last of a three part story, manages to surpass the previous two parts which were also excellent. There is plenty of action, a good number of laughs and even a few surprises. Not only do we learn about the Scarrans need for the Crystherium flowers, we also see a new and surprising side to Sikozu. Some suspension of disbelief is required of course; it isn't likely that the drill-elevator they commandeered would just happen to emerge in the Scarran emperor's chamber... but it adds to the entertainment that it does. I was a little disappointed to see Grayza relieved of command; I hope that doesn't mean we've seen the last of her as she is a great character; Rebecca Riggs did a fine job in the role. With only one episode of the season left it will be interesting to see if the finale can top this!
