Jack now trusts Crichton, and has unlocked the wormhole knowledge in Crichton's head. Now they race to build a weapon to fend of approaching Scarrans. But an opposing force is even closer waiting for an opportunity to strike, there will be causalities and the survivors will be severely affected. Written by
As this, the second of a two part story, begins it looks as if Crichton has lost his mental battle with Harvey and Aeryn will be forced to kill him. Thankfully it is just one final ruse by Harvey before he ceases to exist and John is free of him once and for all. They still have to work quickly to prepare for the Scarran's arrival. As Jack puts the finishing touches to the device that could destroy the Scarrans Furlow shows her true colours and shots him; as much as she dislikes the Scarrans she won't miss the opportunity to make a profit! Meanwhile a single Scarran has boarded Talyn and ordered Crais and Stark to hand over control to him. If they are to succeed in preventing the Scarrans getting the technology they will have to keep control of Talyn and Crichton will have to retrieve the device from Furlow and get it into position to deploy against the Scarrans... it won't be easy and not everybody will survive.
This was a fine conclusion to the story which saw more than one character die... although the 'Harvey' in the head of the Crichton on Moya will still exist. If you like action packed episodes you'll love this as there is plenty; including shooting, explosions and ultimately the spectacular destruction of the Scarran Dreadnaught, the victory wasn't without cost however. I particularly enjoyed the scene where John and Aeryn chased after Furlow while being chased by a Charrid... while all of them are driving vehicles that wouldn't have looked out of place on the set of 'Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome'! It isn't all action though; there are some well handled emotional scenes that may cause a tear to be shed, especially the first time you see it.
