This was one of the better episodes I've seen so far, mainly because of
all the familiar faces, and how both stories were clever and
interesting. Those faces include Dennis Cole(9 total episodes!), Roddy
McDowell, Donna Mills, Cameron Mitchell, Brett Halsey, and R.G.
Armstrong, and I'm not hesitant to say that they all did a credible
job. I thought the plots were fairly original. One segment had Cindy
Carter(Mills)wishing to run a company, and things are going smoothly
for a bit, but you just know the bottom will fall out; both McDowell
and Halsey are very good here, and I liked how Mills' character went
from sappy to aggressive when she finds out she's been wronged, even
though when she and Gary(McDowell)leave the island together, I didn't
sense any romantic chemistry between them. The other story had Mike
Jenner(Cole)hunting down a man(Mitchell)he believes is responsible for
killing his father in a botched robbery scheme; Armstrong played the
sadistic officer very effectively. There's a cool flashback that shows
how Jenner's father really died, and a few decent shots of the prison
camp at night. It seems the writers had their imaginations working for
both these stories, and it's very evident by the end of this episode.
