Welcome to my nightmare
10 February 2014 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

The segment entitled "Nightmare" is my cup of tea, and even though some of the graphics are a bit cheesy, I enjoyed the atmosphere of dolls catching on fire and exploding in a woman's(Pamela Franklin)nightmare, and the creepy clown effect was done very well for a 1978 show. This story was the better of the 2, although there was supposed to be another called "The Tiger", which was omitted from the channel I saw this episode from. For those who may have noticed, the other 2 actors(Brett Halsey, Ray Milland)also starred in an earlier Columbo episode from 1971. My only real gripe was that the same exact nightmare is shown twice, plus a few added moments which has the woman finally see the nightmare until the end, and to see the reason behind it. The other story revolves around Duke, played by a very wooden Paul Sand, and his fantasy is to be king of the racing strip once again, and while this wasn't a weak segment, it pales in comparison to the other one. Look for familiar faces in Mary Ann Mobley and Danny Bonaduce to round out the cast.
