Storyline

In an attempt to win a tour of the Pawtucket Brewery, Peter drinks an insane amount of beer. In the process, Lois discovers that as long as Peter is wasted, he can play the piano like a professional. This gives her an idea to enter him in the town piano contest to show up a rival piano teacher. Will Peter's brain survive long enough to savor victory? In the scene where Peter is playing at the piano competition, Lois pushes him towards the lower end of the piano, but the pitch of the notes rises - it should actually do the opposite as the keys at that end would play lower notes. See more »

Lois Griffin: Peter, I stayed at my mother's that night.

Best Episode Ever
27 April 2006 | by (Cork, Ireland) – See all my reviews

This, in my opinion, is the best episode of Family Guy ever. No doubts about it. It contains all the essential family guy ingredients: Peter being stupid, Brian being drunk, Lois being Lois. Endless pop culture references. The same joke going on for so long that it becomes not funny then becomes funny again.

It seems that Season 1 was a learning process and with Season 3 they took on more than they could handle. Season 2 is the best and Wasted Talent is the best of the best. Honorable mentions include Da Boom and E. Peterbus Unum. The only episode that lets this season down really is A Picture is Worth....
