Trivia

The title is based on a line from the 1837 poem "Concord Hymn" about the Battle of Concord that started the American Revolution when the colonists fired on the British for the first time. "By the rude bridge that arched the flood, Their flag to April's breeze unfurled; Here once the embattled farmers stood, And fired the shot heard 'round the world." See more »

The One Where Meg And Neil Kiss...
24 May 2015 | by (Australia) – See all my reviews

I love this episode. It's so funny. I find it super creepy that Meg falls for Tom Tucker, but it is really funny.

In this episode, Meg develops a crush for Tom Tucker, the local news anchor, so she decides to take an internship as an junior anchor at the station, so she can be closer to her new man. But, to her disliking, the other junior anchor is Neil Goldman, a boy from her school who has been obsessed with Meg for as long as we can remember. One day, when they think they're going to die in the news station helicopter, they kiss because Meg doesn't want to die without ever being kissed. But when they survive and kiss was televised, Meg is so embarrassed about what has happened.

Overall, I give this episode a 7 out of 10, which in my ratings book is: Great.
