Storyline

Brian travels out to California to pick up Stewie, who's been staying with relatives. Before they can return home, however, their plane tickets and money gets stolen, leaving them stranded. Convincing Lois that they'll be traveling by train, Brian manages to stall for some time, but they still must find a way to make the long journey to Rhode Island. On the way, Brian stops at the puppy mill where he was born to try and make amends with his mother. Written by Jean-Marc Rocher <rocher@fiberbit.net>

Quotes

Stewie Griffin: Why the hell did we get off here?
Brian Griffin: My mother lives in Austin. Don't you see? Fate's brought me back here for a reason. I have to find my mother and make piece with her.
Stewie Griffin: So, she's in Austin? Eight miles that way?
Brian Griffin: Yes.
Stewie Griffin: All right. So, instead of driving down this sun-parched highway... we've now got to walk.
Brian Griffin: Pretty much. Yeah.
Stewie Griffin: You know what this means?
Brian Griffin: Yeah.

The One Where Brian And Stewie Go On A Cross-Country Trip...
7 June 2015 | by (Australia) – See all my reviews

I love this episode. I love all of the Brian and Stewie traveling-adventure episodes. They're all pretty good. Especially when the time machine gets involved.

In this episode, Brian travels to California to pick up Stewie, who has been staying with family. But before they get on their flight, their tickets and money are stolen and they are left stranded. Brian stalls Lois by saying they'll get back by train. On their travels, they find the puppy mill where Brian was born, so he can make amens with his Mother.

Overall, I give this episode a 7 out of 10, which in my ratings book is: Great.
