Martine Jonckheere's older sister Carmen Jonckheere (three years older than her) guest starred on the show two titles earlier, in Carmen rukt op (1991), as the wife of Xavier's senior officer Sergeant De Bock. Carmen died from cancer a year later, aged 39.
Bieke (An Swartenbroekx) is absent in four second season titles, from De Streep (1991) to De vriendin (1991). The character is on a journey overseas to study in the United States. This title is included.
Jos Van Geel's first of three appearances on the show. He returns for Cinema, cinema (1993) as Gentil De Schepper and for Vrolijk Kerstfeest (2000) as a Father. He is the father of actor and singer Jonas Van Geel.
Dimitri's private quarters are known to be in the back of his office. This is the only time he is seen entering his dealership from his attic in Oscar and Pico's era. Pico's replacement Pol (Ben Rottiers) and Pico's ex-wife, Dimitri's bookkeeper Doortje (Ann Tuts) later live there. In later titles from Oscar and Pico's day, Dimitri would never be seen on the stairs leading to his attic or, as it became known later, Pol and Doortje's studio.
A running gag on Dimitri De Tremmerie (Jacques Vermeire) is that he 'owns' a cardboard woman 'who' he affectionately calls Jacqueline. Apparently, he has relocated the cardboard to the staircase leading to his attic, later Pol and Doortje's studio, as it previously stood in his office.
