Storyline

A three-person team of Eastern Bloc operatives led by Major Damian Sava arrives at a U.S. beach. They are discovered by a U.S. sailor. The sailor is killed so the spies can proceed with their mission. The sailor's death brings the FBI into the investigation, with Erskine and Rhodes leading the probe. The target of the spies is Anton Dieter; the spies intend to kidnap Dieter so he can be exchanged for a Soviet bloc operative captured by the FBI, who is now in the Atlanta federal prison. Goofs

Near the end of Act III Jana Dieter shows to Erskine and Rhodes a photo in Der Spiegel magazine, above German text, of eastern bloc doctor Marie-Luise Karn - easily the shortest person in the photo (and 30 year old Diana Hyland is about 6" shorter than her 6' 2" accomplice Edward Mulhare). The FBI then puts this same photo of Karn on a "Wanted by the FBI" flyer for local distribution, but describes Karn as 35 years old, 6 ft. tall, and born in Stafford, Indiana. See more »
