Ray is on the phone to Tommy LaSorta. His child comes into the room with a cookie, and Ray yells at the kid, "Where do you think you are going with that cookie?", and Tommy LaSorta happened to also be eating a cookie, and he was startled to hear what Ray said. Meanwhile the kid goes upstairs and Ray apologizes to Tommy LaSorta. Ray and Debra go to Nemos for dinner. Ray and Debra are seated with Bernie and his girl friend. Bernie and the girl start kissing at the table. Debra asks Ray if he is okay, he is sweating. The other couple continues kissing, and then Bernie asks Ray if he has never kissed Debra in front of anybody. Ray gives Debra a peck on the lips. Ray and Debra go home and find that Frank is teaching Ally to do an impression of Marlon Brando in "Streetcar named Desire". Ally is calling out "Stella.....Stella!" Meanwhile, Marie has been in the basement trying to break into Ray's desk. Robert has been taking a shower at Ray's and comes down the stairs wearing a towel. Robert tells Ray and Debra that he broke the shower faucet. Ray thinks back to their childhood days, and says Robert was not allowed to pet the cat. Debra wants to know why Ray can never be affectionate with her. Debra says that Ray can never say the simple phrase "I love you". She says that yelling it during sex does not count. Ray comes into the kitchen the next day and gives Debra a Greeting Card. Debra says the card is sweet, and Ray has this grin on the face, and then he says something is wrong. Ray says this all makes him uncomfortable. Ally says, "Do you love me Daddy?" He says it is the way he is, it is the way his parents were. Debra tells him, I love you. Ray replies, and I....you. Ray just cannot bring himself to say the "love" word. Frank is repairing a shelf in the shower. He shows Ray how the shower now works since he has made some modifications. Ray asks Frank, when was the last time he said I Love you to somebody. Frank replies, "Are you insane?"
