- It's Ray's 20th high school reunion. Robert come into home and talks to Ray about it. Ray is reluctant to go at first. Ray says that only losers go to reunions. Debra soon convinces him. Debra says that Ray never talks about High School and she wants to see that part of his life. Plus, Debra wants to wear her new red dress. Debra says that Ray is a big success, he has a dream job, a beautiful home, a terrific family. He has a great life. Plus, Ray still has all his hair, and it is still very thick.
While at the reunion, Ray sees a couple of his old friends, Scott Preman (Bob Odenkirk) and Warren (Robert Culp). Debra then finds out exactly how dorky and boring Ray and his friends were as kids when they start telling stupid stories from their past. This one-time Ray and Scott went out of school to get 3 McMuffins. They walked through the drive through. They had nick names. Warren is Red Baron, Scott is White Lightening, and Ray is Straight Shooter. They used to chat on the CB radio, and this one time they got a "Foxy Lady" on their frequency. They decide to meet her at a parking lot, and it turns out to be the cafeteria lady. She was the lunch lady. Scott and Warren are both not married yet. Once, the trio were pushed into the girl's bathroom and the door was shut from outside. Warren cried. Scott cried when he skipped a question on his SATs and all his answers were off by one. Scott has to go to community college.
The trio had the hots for Jessica Bell (Pamela Bowen). She still ignores them. Ray studied biology with her back in high school and did dissection together. He pinned her frog open. Scott is the regional field rep for Burlington Hosiery. Warren had a comic bookstore and it burned down, now he is studying to be a rabbi.
Debra quickly befriends the other classmates, the ones who were popular back in school. Debra meets Jessica Bell in the ladies' room and is invited to sit with her at her table. The popular kids include Pete Hasting (Marty Rackham). Nobody remembers Ray, but everybody just loves Debra. Someone says that he thought Ray died in a car accident right after graduation. But that person turned out to be Jay Malone. And Ray is again left out of all the fun because he's still the dorky one. Even Robert is more popular than him since he is a cop. Ray is a sportswriter and people just shrug at him. Pete Hastings used to throw Ray into the girl's bathroom all the time.
Ray later tells Debra is one of them. She is one of the popular kids. The next day, back at home, the rest of his family gives him a hard time about not being popular in school. Robert dated Jessica Bell and even pushed Pete Hastings into the girl's bathroom. Robert is a great dance to boot. Robert and Debra make fun even when Marie brings a new pair of short pants for Ray. Ray gets very sensitive, and Debra has to tell him that she married him as he is nice, has good hair, has a car, and that she loves him. Ray takes dancing lessons from Robert.
