We are introduced to someone who calls himself The Equalizer who takes on 2 new clients in this pilot episode. The first is a man working for a Telecommucation company who discovers some unexplained records in the company files - McCall discovers that the VP of the Telecomm company is recording high-level officials' phone conversations to use for blackmail. 2 editing goofs: Colleen's stalker calls and there is washcloth at the base of the vase beside the phone(10:54). Colleen comes out of the kitchen to answer, carrying same said washcloth which she drops beside the phone (11:09). As the camera pans down to the stalker in the phone booth, we hear him speaking.When it reaches him, he's stopped speaking but his lips are still moving (11:28). She hangs up the phone. Cut to the stalker calling her back, cut to the phone ringing - the cloth is gone(12:11). Cut back to stalker, back to her picking up and hanging up the phone and the cloth is there again (12:13) See more
