This show (initially broadcast with Part 1 as a two-hour movie) and three others were filmed in May-June 1987 before the Director's Guild of America contract expired and a strike loomed on July 1. The strike did break out but was settled within three hours. The producers then sent the cast and crew home to rest up before going back into production -- but shortly after arriving in England, series star Edward Woodward suffered a heart attack and the show had to work around him for six months until he was healthy enough to work full time.
