The pot-farming Sherpa is played by a disguised Val Kilmer. The first member of the entourage that the Sherpa recognizes and greets is Johnny Drama played by Kevin Dillon. Kilmer and Dillon starred together in Oliver Stone's The Doors in which heavily features drug use.
Vince mentions "Meat is murder" in the episode. Jeremy Piven was in PCU where the line is mentioned several times throughout the film.
Ari says "Call me Helen Keller 'cause I'm a fuckin' miracle worker," referring to the play The Miracle Worker by William Gibson that was later made into a movie: The Miracle Worker (1962). However, his metaphor is incorrect because the miracle worker was Annie Sullivan, not Helen Keller.
