In the original draft of the script for the pilot, the boys had a live-in chef named Cal. But it appears as if this character (and most of his lines) were merged with Drama by the time shooting was under way.
In the original draft for the pilot, Vince's publicist's name was not Shauna but Sarah Davis, and was described as: "Smartly dressed in a pant suit, Sarah embodies mature elegance. By comparison the guys seem like high-schoolers."
Kevin Dillon's character Johnny Drama says to have played a part in Blue, albeit 'only' Pacific Blue (1996), not NYPD Blue (1993) (both cop series), while in fact Kevin actually played Officer Neil Baker in three episodes of 'NYPD Blue'. Jerry ferrara also had a guest appearance in one episode of NYPD Blue in season 11.
In the pilot episode titled, "Entourage," there is a scene where Vince passes Mark Wahlberg and his "entourage." Since the series is loosely based on Wahlberg's early years in Hollywood this is significant because the people walking with Wahlberg in the scene are the real life E and Johnny (Alves) Drama. Alves is in a light blue track suit and E is dressed in business casual attire.
