The name of the Andorian homeworld had been inconsistent throughout Star Trek history, being referred to as either Andor or Andoria. This episode finally settled the matter by revealing that the Andorians live on a moon that orbits a ringed gas giant, with the gas giant being called Andor, and the moon called Andoria.
This was the first episode to feature the moon Andoria in Star Trek.
It is interesting to note that the Vulcans and Andorians, who used to be bitter enemies, also live on totally opposite planets. Where Vulcan, the homeworld of the Vulcans, is a hot desert planet, Andoria is an ice moon.
For reasons unknown, J. Michael Flynn is not listed in the credits for playing Nijil, despite having been credited in Babel One (2005) and United (2005).
One of the Romulans who remotely controls the camouflage ship is Admiral Valdore. He shares the same name as Commander Donatra's warbird Valdore from Star Trek: Nemesis (2002). It is likely that the warbird was named in honor of the Admiral.
