Storyline

After crossing the desert and surviving the sand storms, T'Pol and Archer confront the Syrranites in the Forge. The pair meet T'Pau, who denies any connection with the embassy bombing and Admiral Forrest's death. Archer, now possessing the mental essence of Surak known as the 'katra', agrees to let T'Pau extract it, even after T'Pol's mother T'Les warns the ritual may kill him. Meanwhile Vulcan administrator V'Las is willing to destroy Enterprise to make sure an attack on the Syrrannites isn't witnessed. Former Ambassador Soval allies with Commander Tucker to try to rescue Archer and T'Pol. Written by Meribor

Goofs

The Forge properties prevent technology from working, yet they are able to project a holographic rock face to hide the compound. The hologram also seems to be an energy shield. When one of the bombs hits the "rock" the hologram disappears. If it had been just a hologram the bomb would have obliterated the compound. See more »

The Vulcans Have Hitler of Their Own
29 March 2017 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

The Vulcans are being betrayed by an overzealous leader. Meanwhile Archer, having been melded with great Vulcan knowledge, begins to lead the people on the desert. Once Enterprise is driven away, the Vulcan's attack the outpost. Archer begins to have visions. He is connected with the ancestry of the Vulcans. He has knowledge that no one should have. There are great casualties on the planet. This is a truly interesting episode in that it integrates metaphysics with the down to earth logic that has been the wellspring of the pointy eared people.
