(TV Series)

The title refers to the Chicago federal agents known as "The Untouchables" led by Eliot Ness from 1929 to 1931 who targeted Al Capone's illegal activities such as bootlegging and prostitution and finally got him on tax evasion charges. Because none of them could be bribed they became known as "untouchable". Books, movies and a television series were based on their exploits.
