Storyline

Abby fears the worst when her brother Eric suddenly disappears. He is actually AWOL and she forges Carter's name to obtain his medical records. Carter and Chen treat a frightened Chinese immigrant nanny, Tong-Yi, whom they suspect was impregnated by her employer. Meanwhile, new surgical resident Paul Nathan, who is struggling to overcome a physical disability, tries to help in the emergency room but his fellow doctors do not appreciate his advice to patients. Unable to quench his sexual appetite, Kovac also gets into trouble in his professional life, despite his admirable resolve to find an eye specialist to treat a young gunshot victim. Gallant and fellow medical student Erin Harkins engage in an escalating competition of medical knowledge. And Weaver gets some much-needed good news. Written by Anonymous

Trivia

Per the title, despite all of the medical education a doctor receives, his best start in diagnosing the patient's condition is to find where the pain is and the patient is the best judge of identifying the location. The doctor starts with asking him, "Tell me where it hurts." See more »

Goofs

The two "cops" who show up to take Eric into custody are in uniform but the one who speaks says they are from the Air Force's Office of Special Investigations. AFOSI agents, even enlisted personnel wear civilian attire when performing their duties. Also, OSI personnel aren't normally used to take AWOL personnel into custody. See more »

Quotes

Nurse Malik McGrath: Just say no to drugs and double bacon cheeseburgers.
Paul Nathan: You know, his size was probably something he couldn't control.

Tell Me Where It Hurts (#9.7)
10 April 2015 | by (Canada) – See all my reviews

I always thought Dr. Kovac seems very good looking, but lately I found him hotter and hotter. The scene with him and the prostitute was actually very sexy from how he flirted, I almost wished I was her even though I don't want to be a prostitute.

Paul Nathan is still having trouble to accept that some situation are hopeless. And while one wants to take his side, at the end one realizes that maybe it is better to let go and not let the people go through it. I do feel bad for him that Corday said she will fail him if he practices clinical medicine. I assume it will be the same thing, he will not want to give up but at the end will have to accept that he has to be a different kind of doctor.

The story about the Chinese nanny is pretty sad. Once again ER bringing awareness to some horrible things that may happen but we don't notice.

Looking forward to pregnant Weaver story!
