Did You Know?

Mrs. Howard, the demented patient who shoots up the ER, appeared in Season 6 ("Leave it to Weaver") and died because of an accident in a coffee shop. She shows up again with the same name, very much alive. See more »

Dr. John Carter: I knew a boy who was a little husky, and he didn't have very many friends and all the kids used to make fun of him. So he spent most of his time studying. And he went on to college, and he became a surgeon. And at his high school reunion, he took out a scalpel, and he cut the tongue off of every kid who ever made fun of him.

Survival of the Fittest (#7.17)
18 March 2015 | by (Canada) – See all my reviews

One of the impressive stories in this episode is about the old lady with dementia who grabs a gun and then gets shot by a cop. I am with Peter here, there was no reason to kill her... Felt bad for her family at the end.

Other stories have something to do with reproduction. There is a teenage girl who is pregnant and wants to keep her baby. And Luka deals with her.

Then there is another story about a woman getting a blood clot and a stroke because she was selling her eggs to help the family business, also pretty sad.

And Elizabeth dealing with Romano discriminating her because of her pregnancy. The disgusted look she gave him at some point was hilarious. As well as her wanting to pee during operation when he doesn't let her on a bathroom break.
