Trivia

This episode is unusual in that it's told almost entirely from the viewpoints of two patients undergoing care. One is a father involved in a vehicular collision, played by guest star James Belushi. The other is Dr Mark Greene who has his brain tumor operated on. See more »

Piece of Mind (#7.10)

In this episode we follow Mark's brain operation. It is so well done. We get to watch him preparing for it, and I must say I was nervous as hell myself. And then they take us through the whole operation where he has to stay awake for the mapping. And he gives us a scare by having a seizure through it. Then we also get to see him after he operation and while we learn that it was successful he has some weird episode. But again it is just a scare. They did a good job at keeping the viewer worried here! Hope to see Mar recover fast now.

The parallel story was the one in the ER with a father and a son who got into a car accident. Pretty well developed story as well, we have the father think it was his fault, turns out it wasn't and they even make us thin for a second that the father died. Pretty well played with our feelings again.
