Storyline

The nurses are shocked to hear what happened to a patient during their 'sick out'. When the hospital leaks the information to the press, Carol Hathaway decides to set the record straight. Mark Greene decides his fling with Chuny Marquez has run its course and asks Doug for advice on how to end it. Greene and Dr. Weaver show their different styles when they each show prospective students around the ER. Hathaway treats a veteran police officer who seems to be developing a neurological disorder. Peter Benton sees his friend Carla Reece in the hospital waiting room and learns that she is pregnant. He also forgets that he and Carter had to make a presentation to the surgical staff. Goofs

Mark Greene asks "Tenderness in the anatomic snuff box indicates which common fracture" whilst looking at the patient' wrist, and answers his own question with "navicular". The navicular is an ankle bone, not a wrist bone, nowhere near the anatomical snuffbox which is delineated by thumb muscles. See more »

Fortune's Fools (#3.13)
23 December 2014 | by (Canada) – See all my reviews

In this episode the important part is the incident of the man dying because Carol used wrong blood type and it is leaked into the press to make the call in sick nurse action to seem as a reason for it. But Carol takes it as her responsibility and is suspended. Interesting, although I kind of have trouble seeing how them not being understaffed didn't play a role. Somebody who has to take over responsibility of so many coworkers is more likely to make a mistake, this way they kind of have proved how necessary they are, which cost a man his life.

Mark seems to be dating a lot now, wonder how it will go and if he will finally get an interesting relationship, although how can he have one since he would rather be with Susan.

And we have a nice guest star here, Kevin Thighe who has a pretty interesting case.
