Daisy's damsel in distress scene
I felt it looked way anemic as it kicked off. After previous episode sparked some hope for a better show, this one seemed to flounder. Let me make no bones about it, I don't like Bo and Duke. Saw the movie version on DVD in 2008, detested those two smarmy guys. Thought the TV version would at least have more likable heroes. But they're two layabouts who have an inexplicable source of income financing their yahoo!!! driving, which must include not only gallons of (rocket) fuel, but daily spare parts caused by all those crash landings. There's not a car in the world that could go through THAT, and General Lee is not KNIGHT RIDER, It's a normal stock car, so... takes credibility beyond the limit. Every yahoo!!! sounds fake and overdone. Burt Reynolds they ain't either.

But I digress. I really only wanted to say Daisy saved the day again. By getting caught and tied up, well, aw, that wasn't really tied up, but okay, Miss Million Dollar Legs, I ain't complaining, that scene there is a classic, seeing it was done, like, forty-one years ago...

Enos to the rescue? What happened to our boy Enos? Anybody else noticed that Enos never made it to Daisy? Was Sonny Shroyer sent home again, or was there a deleted scene, goofy ol' Enos coming to rescue already rescued Daisy? I'm on Disc 2 of the box set, maybe there are deleted scenes on Disc 5, I don't check up ahead... But coming from an era that is Way Long Gone Past, not likely to have remained in existence if it ever existed.

Like I said last time, only way to take this, see it as a live action cartoon. Don't expect the constraints of reality to be adhered too. You could stuff ol' Rosco's face with a pie, the mess would only be there while It's a joke. Moments later he'd be cleaned up again. Cars go around with screeching tyres on dirt roads. Damaged cars repair themselves. And the prize for the biggest overblown actor, nay, clown, on TV goes to Sorrell Booke as J.D. Hogg. Cringeworthy to the hilt.

Make mine a Daisy. Ten of her, please.
