Daisy's Song
Prismark1025 February 2020
There is some nice location shooting in Atlanta. This was in the early days of the show before they ended up back in a Hollywood backlot.

Everyone including Boss Hogg get into a lot of trouble with the FBI on their tail as they are looking at a music piracy scam.

If only the record company gave Daisy Duke the $50 that was owed to her for writing a song for a famous country singer.

So Daisy pretends to be a singer who can sound like other artists. She also uses her charms and a skinny outfit to rope in the dodgy producers.

Again this early episodes are cartoonish fun with lots of car chases. The Duke boys also get to use their arrows with added dynamite.

Righting wrongs the right way: with explosives.

That title pretty much says it all: this is Daisy's story - well, not solely, she's still a background player in all that goes down here. 'Daisy's Song' has the Duke boys traveling to Atlanta to foil a music piracy operation (the only reason they're involved is because this particular outfit bilked Daisy out of royalties for her song). And seeing the General Lee in the big city is nice. It's kinda bananas from there; three car chases, a foot pursuit that feels like a Benny Hill routine, the Feds and even Boss Hogg pulling the strings. Were it not for a couple of scenes in which Catherine Bach summons her tender side, it'd be basic "Dukes" all the way.

Although, Bo and Luke do get to use dynamite arrows and blow stuff up real good! 6/10

Character Set-Up - Great tv
BradyBraveJoel2 December 2021
As the second installation of the series many characters are introduced and there is a clear direction for the show. The narration is especially a huge part of this show, and it becomes clear that there will be weekly guest actors/actresses... Even though much of the filming for the pilot took place in Atlanta, the move to the back lot at Universal was okay by my standards... The crew was able to film country scenes up at Gorman and the Simi Ranch of my boy Ronnie Rayguns... The fbli (federal bureau of lack of info) didn't get their man, and the Folk of Hazard County had a happy ending...
