Not bad but nothing special
24 December 2013 | by (Bradenton, Florida) – See all my reviews

In the beginning of the episode, you have the usual sort of introduction by Jack Webb. However, the video portion shows police computers and record departments--all very interesting when you think about how far we've come today!

The episode finds Sergeant Friday and Detective Smith investigating a frustrating string of burglaries. Home after home has been broken into yet there are no clues and none of the merchandise has turned up in local pawn shops or in the black market. The only clue they get, and it takes a long time to get, is that when the police began canvassing the neighborhood in earnest, one of the guys they stopped turned out to have a fake i.d. and was so convincing that cop after cop let him go. So, Friday and Smith decide to hang out in the neighborhood and check the identity of everyone they find wandering about at night with a grocery bag--like the guy with a fake i.d. had.

This is a relatively dull episode. Not bad--just not a lot to recommend this one compared to the average show.
