This is an interesting episode about credit card fraud at a California department store chain. During an audit, they have noticed about $100,000 worth of merchandise that has just "disappeared". Eventually, they realize that the way the things were stolen was that items were bought with fake credit cards and the sales receipts were deliberately destroyed--leaving no trail. Then, the mastermind behind this scheme would keep some of the stolen items and sell other items so that he could live like a king. What makes this all so interesting is that the guy is in some ways pretty bright to come up with such a scheme but also a total idiot to be so arrogant and assume that he was too smart and too clever to be caught!
Overall, interesting and worth seeing. More importantly, unlike the first 3/4 of season 3, this one involved actual field work--not community relations or police morale.
