Goofs

When Dr. Mike's family arrives in town Marjorie announces that she chose her clothing because Amelia Bloomer was championing this new style of dress. While Amelia Bloomer did advocate what she called "Reform Dress" or a "Turkish Costume" (often referred to by others as the Bloomer Costume) in her paper "The Lily", this occurred in 1850. While many reformers did adopt this way of dressing most all had discarded it and returned to wearing long skirts by 1855. The show is set 20 years after all this occurred. Many women were still attempting to find a way to dress that avoided the heavy petticoats, but they did not return to the much maligned Bloomer. See more »

Quotes

Dr. Michaela 'Mike' Quinn: [Dr Mike looking in the mirror rubbing her very large baby belly] Is it just me or have I been pregnant for 10 years?
Byron Sully: It's not much longer.
Dr. Michaela 'Mike' Quinn: And you've been saying that to me for 10 years as well. I'm tired of being tired, fat, ugly...
Byron Sully: You're not fat, you're not ugly you're pregnant and that's a good thing... remember.
