A generous amount of filming in rural Scotland lifts this episode which deals with a suspected case of rabies. Eric Thompson (father of Sophie and Emma) plays a flirtatious travelling salesman who is bitten by a landowner's Alsatian. Mary Miller plays one of his conquests, Molly. Soon after filming Miller became the first wife of the show's star Bill Simpson. PSM.
