That's Right, He Was The Dentist
richard.fuller15 July 2009
Warning: Spoilers
I have never forgotten this episode.

Martin Mull was doing a family sitcom here, and Paul Sand turned up in this episode as his dentist.

It seemed Sand was a bit left out, so he ended up being invited over to Mull's for dinner.

Sand kept doing this far-off look, reflecting on some unhappiness in his life, his loneliness or something.

No matter what the carefree discussion at the dinner table, suddenly Sand would turn and look off and reflect on some despondent moment in his past.

Finally, the family had enough of Sand's dreariness and he was asked to go, and he did so, with the hang dog look on his face.

Mull now feels guilty, so he goes to Sand's apartment and finds the dentist, brooding in the dark.

Mull turns on the light to find Sand's apaprtment filled with various up-to-date games and stylish looking items.

As Mull attempts to offer Sand some advice, he can't help but getting lost in playing foosball.

Every time I would see Sand in something else, I would think back to this short-lived Martin Mull show.
