A Police Constable goes missing, abandoning his Panda car, a huge Police search ensues.
It's interesting that this is the first episode in colour to still exist, I'm glad it does, it's a good one.
It's such a well produced episode, it feels very well made and well executed, the search scenes in particular look so impressive, it didn't look as if the budget was stinted on.
I'm still trying to get to grips with this show, it's so unusual, and so different to all other Police dramas, it's not always the crime that's the big focus, here for example, it's all about the search.
Dixon isn't a huge presence here, of the episodes I've seen so far he's the central figure, he wasn't quite so much, but still wonderfully charismatic.
I loved Margaret John's performance, so good as the wife, she always had such a presence, here she's cold and almost dispassionate, it gives an insight into the marriage.
8/10.
