I'm watching this from the perspective of having seen it when it first came out in '68 to watching it now.
The only issue I ever really had with Disney was the Americanization of many productions by using actors with fake accents, or white actors coming off as different ethnic individuals. Still it is a good old Disney production your family can watch and the excitement is real enough. Enjoy the movie and remember when Disney was a true family entity.

Antiquing under the sea

One of Walt Disney's most popular feature films for television was the two part
Treasure Of The San Bosco Reef from 1968. This features Roger Mobley come to
Italy for the summer to help out his uncle James Daly bring some rare antiquities
up from the sea. They are aided and abetted by young Anthony Alda who functions like a kibitzer as Mobley teaches him the fine points of scuba diving.
There's quite a market for these antiquities as archeologist Daly sees his find systematically looted.
At the nd of part 1 we're still not sure who's behind it all and who among Daly's crew is in business for himself.
