Largely disregards the excitement factor

Though feeling less disconnected than the previous chapter, this is a very uneven final part to the World Tour. First, the Mexico section feels rushed and unsubstantial, thanks in no small part to the involvement of the digimon. While seeing Stingmon use a double spiking strike attack is pretty cool, and we are treated to the evolution footage of Weregarurumon, the main action sequence has a sense of laziness, with the combatants making essentially no use of their unique powers. Weregarurumon in particular only delivers one physical strike, despite not appearing for over 50 episodes. On the human side of things, there was potential in the team up of Matt and Ken, since the two have the distinction of being at odds with their respective teams at some point, but there is no more effort in that department here than in the previous two episodes. Rosa is expectedly bothersome, being so young, and I think that her eventual admiration of Stingmon could have had more thought put into it. Gotsumon's evolution footage is neat, though.

I would argue that the Russia section is a little better. The animation and setting are more pleasing to the eye, especially when considering the attacks of the flying digimon, which have little recycled footage. However, this is probably the most rushed section in the World Tour, as the two girls have literally no time to survey the area they are assigned to. Watching them deal with the language barrier with the Russian kids is embarrassing, though I did like seeing Yolie pull through in thinking up a solution, silly as it is. The sequence in Siberia is also rushed, but feels more dire thanks to the harsh environment and retains the quality in visuals. As Chris Mcfeely pointed out, the Jingle Bells montage at the end is very enjoyable, almost getting us to feel a minor connection to the kids encountered during this mission, and the scene of Imperialdramon flying above the atmosphere is a great visual.
