Another singing, dancing episode.

There were quite a few episodes of "The Dick Van Dyke Show" where the writers took advantage of the singing and dancing talents of the four leads, Dick Van Dyke, Mary Tyler Moore, Rose Marie and Morey Amsterdam. While they were very talented, the episodes also have a certain sameness to them and are for some folks, like me, a bit tiresome. That is why although "The Secret Life of Buddy and Sally" features some nice singing, dancing and jokes, it's not among the better episodes for me.

Rob is feeling like Buddy and Sally are hiding something from him. After all, recently whenever he invites them home for dinner, they come up with a variety of excuses. And, when he asks them about this, they change the subject. Unfortunately, this brings out the knucklehead in Rob and he begins acting like a private detective to determine what the two are up to.

The episode until the final ten minutes or so is okay, the final ten are a song and dance extravaganza. Not bad overall but a clear case of 'been there, done that'.
