Storyline

Drew Patton is an old college buddy of Rob's who, during college, was a shy bookworm. Now, he is a renowned lady's man and the publisher of a men's magazine, Emperor. He has asked Rob to be the comedy consultant for the magazine, the job which Rob isn't sure he should accept as he isn't sure if he should be associated with such a publication. To be more precise, Laura doesn't want Rob to be associated with such a publication, and get caught up in the playboy lifestyle for which Drew is so famous. Drew does whatever he can to have a private "business" meeting with Rob alone without Laura, while Laura does whatever she can to prevent Rob from going to such a meeting. Drew ultimately gets the upper hand in that department, with the meeting promising to have a bevy of beautiful young women parading around. Following the meeting, Laura admits to Rob why she is so scared of him working for Drew. Written by Huggo

Trivia

The voice of Sam, the receptionist who announces Rob's arrival at Drew's office, was supplied by Mary Tyler Moore. This is a reference to her role on the series 'Richard Diamond, Private Detective' as the answering service operator Sam, whose full face was never shown. See more »
