When the story begins, Laura and her new neighbor are reminiscing. Apparently she and Laura went to school together and now they are chatting away. When Millie comes, she feels like a third wheel and soon goes home. Additionally, she feels a bit angry and depressed...as it looks to her like Laura has a new best friend. Later, Jerry stops by and he, too, feels a bit left out when the Petries are entertaining these new neighbors.
Fortunately, the Petries soon realize that Millie and Jerry are feeling unloved and they plan some activities with all three couples. However, then something odd happens...Millie and Jerry start spending time with the new couple apart from Laura and Rob...and now the Petries feel left out.
This is a very good episode and I appreciate how although there were a lot of hurt feelings, everyone acted like adults and dealt with this in a nice, non-sitcom manner. Enjoyable and unusual...in a good way.
