Don't push too hard, soldier

Every movie buff will think of Richard Brook's TAKE THE HIGH GROUND, because of the drill instructor and military training basic topic. And also a bit of FULL METAL JACKET, just a bit, I insist. This tale focuses on the drill instructor character instead of the privates. One of them is played here by John Davis Chandler. The instructor, played by Van Heflin, is responsible of a rookie's death during hard training and, a few days later, he is accused by two soldiers to have provoked the rookie's death. False accusations of course, threatening his whole life and career. John Davis Chandler plays of course the evil punk whom Van Heflins fights with during the climax.
