Good drama

Warning: Spoilers
What a good surprise to have this episode directed by Harry Keller, a great B director from Universal Studios and a very good western director. You have here a powerful drama and character study with the likes of Steve Cochran, John Ireland and Gary Merril...Cochran plays a country side cop who have personal problems with his conscience, a cop who put arrests an innocent man who is also in distress himself. No, it's not a crime flick, but a really good drama that looks like a true noir story, set in a small town. An atmosphere as we have already seen in other stories, stories which are like explosives all along and which finally explode in tragedy.

It could have been a film for the big screen, no problem. Steve Cochran gives a solid performance as a lost man, a lost cop who faces the total mess of his life.

And, don't miss the line when Cochrane says to Nancy Davis - future Nancy Reagan: He says to her, at the thirty seventh minute: "Thank You Madam President".... And this was decades before Ronald Reagan became president.

Don't miss this one.
