The most bonkers scenario yet, but this was fun. .

An audacious gang rob a factory's payroll, and escape along the canal, by athletically jumping on board a passing tourist barge, their crime is almost faultless, except for one thing, Maguire is on the case.

Today, I went to watch The Meg 2, and that plot was outrageous, but compared to this, it was thoroughly plausible, how on Earth did those men manage to jump on board a passing barge without causing a murder, and without ending up in The Thames!!!

Once again Maguire cracks the case by interviewing the first criminal he encounters, and once again, another poor unsuspecting ends up dead, Maguire seemed to bump off more criminals then he arrested.

I'm being a little unkind, it was entertaining enough, and of course it was great to see the wonderful Harry Fowler, best known of course for The Army Game.

The plot was certainly creative.

6/10.

A gang of thieves are robbing the payroll of a factory and making their getaway from a passing barge.

Only DI Maguire figures out that there has been a spate of robberies next to the canal.

One of the gang of thieves gets careless spending his money on wine and women.

A man who gave the gang some inside information meets a fatal end while trying to get away from Maguire.

You need to have split second timing to jump on a passing barge.

Once again Maguire gets all the breaks, enough to barge in.

I did figure one of the gang was easy to identify despite masking his face. The small lad from the movie Hue & Cry!
