Jack Klugman, the legendary actor who played Quincy in Quincy, M. E., makes his second guest appearance here as Harry Trumble, a cop who's after the Clown Killer. Martin Kove of Karate Kid fame makes his final appearance as Captain Newman, and it's a shame he didn't appear in more than the three episodes he was in. Also Dianne Kay of Eight is Enough fame makes an appearance, along with Anne Lockhart of the Lockhart dynasty. Anyway, Eight is Enough is one of my favorite series from the 70s so it was wonderful to see an Eight is Enough alum in Diagnosis Murder, but it's a shame it was her final on-screen appearance.
