Teacher's Pet is probably one of the few episodes in Diagnosis Murder where the victim was murdered in Dr Mark Sloan's house, which is an actual house on Broad Beach Road in Malibu, and which later became the main house used in Big Little Lies.
There are numerous lies emanating from the prime suspect and her medical doctor lover who is quite obsessive about their affair and lust. But Mark and Steve or on to it before you know it, and the episode is a game of cat and mouse.
