Van Dykes Galore

Warning: Spoilers
A lot has been made about Barry Van Dyke's four children guest starring in this episode which Barry also wrote. Two of the children, Shane and Carey, became Hollywood big shots over two decades later with their screenplay for Don't Worry Darling which was directed by Directed by Olivia Wilde and starred big shots Florence Pugh, Harry Styles, Wilde and Gemma Chan. Who would have thought that two of the Van Dyke children would reach the heights of Hollywood fame.

Anyway, Never Say Die is an okay episode of Diagnosis Murder and it was set in the world of a boxing gym club and the shenanigans amidst the boxing.

One of the worst

Season 6 is pretty much one big disappointment: the stories and the production are the pits. Most episodes resemble a kid's show as opposed to a prime-time drama. This episode, however, is the worst due to the acting. All of the Van Dykes (except Dick and Barry) are just awful. Pretty much every gym scene is unwatchable. Josh Roman actually made me laugh out loud his acting was so bad. Skip this one.
